With fat cattle at all time highs, feed costs being more manageable, scarce populations of cattle and forecasts of a good crop production, the cattle business looks good going foreword. Prices qouted below reflect current market prices as feeder cattle receipts are too few to give accurate pricing. All time highs are being recognized every week it seems. Demand for feeder cattle is excellent on all classes this week. Bulls were at least $2-4 lower from their previous highs. Morning deliveries were too few to recognize. Good dairy cows were in the $116-124 range. Butcher cows traded sharply lower this week as dry conditions out west are bringing cows off pasture early. ![]()
